I am extremely interested in becoming a CRNA and will be applying this summer for entrance in 2013. I am currently researching programs and was wondering if anyone knows of schools that absolutely won't accept students with 1-2 years experience and schools that have been known to accept students with this amount of experience provided they meet the other requirements? I know that most schools websites state their minimum requirements regarding years of experience; however, I also know there are schools who will not seriously consider applicants with the minimum requirement.
A little about me: BSN degree. Would have 2 full years of experience in CICU and CVICU at level 1 trauma center prior to starting classes. 3.97 overall GPA, 4.0 nursing and 4.0 science. Have taken organic chemistry. GREs Verbal 152 and Math 158. Involved in a research committee at hospital. Plan to get CCRN by the end of the year. Multiple shadow days with CRNA.
I appreciate any feedback/input. Thanks!
