CRNA nursing students who are over 40 and dismissed from their programs.

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi! I was interested in any CRNA students who were 40 or over, who were dismissed from their CRNA programs. I have been doing research in this area and have found a large number of nursing CRNA students who were hazed from their programs (some of the information is just outrageous what was done to them) as well as their program design and structure. Many CRNA programs are fitting a "mill" mode where quality is not an issue as is quantity. Thanks!

Was 44 and dismissed 7 months into completing the program

l feel your pain. Same deal here with 110K loan and nothing to show for it. Dont have a dime for a law suit. l was exhausted from fighting all the school options which will never be in the students favor anyway. All A's in didactic, even tutored some of my classmates, completed 3 semesters of clinicals and 4th semester of clinical all hell broke loose. Hazed to the max!!!! They will even text each other on how l will be emotionally tortured for the day. Asking me questions they google on their phones. It was HELL.

Very interesting.

Specializes in ICU.

So did anyone in this forum sim their legal battle? I got more semesters completed out of my eight before I was out of the program.

I know this forum has been inactive for over a year, but I thought I'd try it. Anyone have experience with suing the school they are enrolled in? I'm having a real rough go and don't see any other option at this point. I'm 2/3 done with my program BTW.

Specializes in ICU, SICU, Burns, ED, Cath lab, and EMS.

I was in school who brought lawyers into negotiate finishing their program. They had leverage on the school for inappropriate relationships btw faculty and students. Several students w/similar situations talked to lawyer, but the suit lacked merit based on the lawyer opinion. Many lives were damaged psychologically and financially. There were clinical preceptor from the school who were afraid to speak up b/c of retribution. You can only take so much abuse.

I am paying for a consultation tomorrow. I only have a problem with one person....and they happen to be my director. Thank god I have great grades and pretty good evals. Oh well, in order to stay positive, I don't think "why me?" I think, I have been given the opportunity to change this school for the better.
