How much were you able to pay on student loans a month after graduation and hire?

Google loan calculator and plug in the numbers. The interest rate will about 7%. The payments will be over $1000 a month.

Oscar I have the same family

Thx bibibi

Anybody used credit card with no interest for 18months? No balance transfer fees? Just paying the minimum balance and pay it full before the promo ends?

Don't think I could save 100k up in 18 months.

Can someone tell me if this is doable. My goal is to be a CRNA. I am a current paramedic and taking my pre-reqs to bridge to ADN. Then I plan on working while getting my BSN. I figure that I can get my BSN in two to three years while working in the ICU. That would give me my experience that I need while also testing for CCRN. Right now I am paying for school out of mine and my wife's salaries. We have paid around $4000 for the first two semesters and this semester is around $3000. I want to be able to pay for BSN debt free then only take out loans for CRNA. I am looking at TCU because they have a distant learning program at the hospital that I work out. TCU is around $90K. Does this sound good to anyone?

What about those of us that are in the out of state tuition cost bracket? I live in Montana and there are no CRNA programs available here. Would it be smarter to get residency in a state like Texas before going to school verses paying for $200,000ish in out of state tuition?

One of the major factors is tuition. Some schools are much more expensive than others. In my program, there are many students that will be finished with 150-200k in debt...

It's all numbers, calculations and guesswork folks. Here's what you need to consider:

What will your current debt load be prior to starting NA school?

What will your living expenses be during school when you are not earning income?

What is a low ball estimate of the income you will make after graduation?

There are plenty of online loan calculators that can tell you what your monthly payments will be depending on amount, interest rate and duration of loan. I suggest becoming familar with those and seeing how the different variables can affect payments and total amount paid for the life of the loan.

I've decided for my family and current situation I will not pursue any program that would force me to borrow more than $100k in loans (total, including living expenses while in school). In fact, I am really shooting for less than $75K. That pretty much leaves out any school with tuition > $60K. Some will say that I'm willing to borrow too much and will regret it later. Others will say I'm not being realistic and should prepare myself for borrowing more. I guess only time will tell who is right.

There are two CRNA schools in Texas that are private and their tuition will not depend on your residency status.

For those interested in how much the student loan repayment per month might be: One of my sisters went to undergrad, grad, and law school. She came out with 200k in student loan debt, and pays 1500/month in repayment. A friend of mine has 70k student loan burden from undergrad, and he pays about 670/month. It also depends upon the interest rate that you end up getting on your student loans, but those figures may help to give a ball park estimate.

i am gonna be 'in the hole' about 100K. payment is gonna be about 1100/month for 10 years. very do-able.

here is a loan repayment program i have found in PA:

CRNA Expense Program - Penn State Hershey
