i have just gotten an interview at case western reserve in ohio, any one have any experience with how they conduct their interview? thanks

I interviewed at Case last year and ended up going to another school. Obviously case is a good program, however, be prepared to feel a little overwhelmed at the interview. First, get there early because parking is a pain in the butt and the one garage may be full. Second, my interview started about an hour late and there were three of us just staring at each other. Just know ahead of time that it is a big school and that it may not seem all warm and fuzzy when you walk in. I had seven people interview me and to be honest the questions were not bad. No Clinical questions! Be prepared to tell them why you want to go to Case as opposed to other programs and know about their clinical sites. They asked me a little about my life outside of work (hobbies etc). I think that personality/sense of humor is important to them ( I know a couple students there).

Hope this helps. Any other questions you can PM me.

I also am starting at Case in August. I live very close to Sandusky. What clinical site did you get? I will be at Cleveland Clinic. Have a friend who is a senior at Case now. He is at Summa in Akron. I wanted to be close to Case, and my friend said he had heard of bad experiences at University. Also, with CCF being one of the top hospitals in the country, you know you will be able to work anywhere after practicing there. Are you doing anything special to prepare for school?

I interviewed with them last fall and I start this August. I chose the last interview slot of the day (so they wouldn't forget me) There were about 10 people at the table. They had persons from each clinical site. Your choices are University Hospital, Summa in Akron, or the Cleveland Clinic. (The Cleveland Clinic students get a monthly subsidy in return for working there after school.) I had no clinical questions.

Why do you want to go to CRNA school?

Why here?

Tell me about your day you shadowed in the OR?

Give me 3 reasons why we should choose you?

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

I was very enthusiastic and very motivated in my interview. I think they liked that. While it was somewhat laid back, there was a woman who was with the Cleveland Clinic who was very tough. Just be yourself and be confident, not arrogant! And good luck!!!!:balloons: Keep us posted!!
