Case Western CRNA interviews for 2011

Hello,

Wondering if anyone else has received a letter from Case stating that they will be contacting them in the future to schedule an interview with their anesthesia dept for the class starting 2012? The letter arrived at my home on Sept. 13th and I'm still waiting for the phone call to set up an interview date.

How long did it take for Case to contact you to set up an interview after they sent the letter in the mail stating they would? I got my letter yesterday!! I probably looked like an idiot at the mailbox jumping up and down lol

I got my letter in the beginning of September and they didn't call me until the end of October to schedule the interview. So I would give them a good 5 to 6 weeks (at the latest) to call you.

Does anyone know how many they are interviewing and how many they accept?

Hey Cvicu, was it just basic math questions like the post said earlier? You got to tell us more. Did they ask you any clinical questions and was it only 20 minutes like they say? Thanks.

It took over a month I know. Took so long I almost forgot about it.

The interview lasted at max. 20 minutes?! It was really short. They do ask the typical questions you would expect why do you want to be a crna, why should we pick you. They asked if I had charge nurse responsibilities and if I was precepting new nurses. They also ask about your shadowing experience and be prepared to answer questions based off of however you answer that question. It took about a full month before I heard back from them AFTER I received a letter from them saying I would have an interview. I know they have more dates for interviews on November 28th and Sometime in the first week of December. They told me it should only be 2-3 weeks till I hear an answer from them so I am hoping for good news!

I was told they are interviewing between 70-90 this year and I believe they accept something around 25-30. (15 for Cleveland Clinic and the rest are split between UH and Summa)

I received my later in mid oct. No interview set up yet, but I talked to someone there last week and they said not to worry. They said I would definitely be interviewed...just give it a few more weeks and I should hear something. A friend of mine is in her second year there, and her interview was held in january.

Thanks so much Cvicu for all the helpful info! It really helps when others are willing to share their experiences and I wish I could have done the same for you. I'm definitely excited and nervous for this interview. Just a few short days! Fingers crossed......Good Luck to all!
