Nursing Students SRNA

Hello everyone!!

I am starting my journey in applying into the CRNA program. My dream school is CSUF, KPSAN, isn't everyone's for Angelenos? I am asking what to expect in my journey. I hope anybody can help me and help each other as well. Good luck to all of us who are in this journey for an advanced practice degree :)

Out of curiosity did you call Kaiser or CSUF?

Congrats everyone! I didn't get an email either. Nail the interviews, good luck!!!

I just got my rejection letter from kaiser. Good luck everyone who got an interview! Now I can go to the school that accepted me which is my first choice. Keep trying guys!

I just spoke with Kaiser and they informed me that they had over 700 applicants this year.... All the emails were sent out today (yay or nay) and it may take a day or two for them all to "go through". This was an incredibly competitive applicant pool they said. Congratulations to those who were invited to interview.

Got my rejection letter. Now I can stop checking my e-mail a zillion times a day! Good luck to all who got an interview. Go get 'em! =)

I know what you must feeling. I went through it last year. This is my second time applying. Just figure out what you can improve on and keep trying. You might have missed something pretty simple such as not attending the counseling session. Don't get discouraged by the number of applicants. They mentioned that they usually get 700-800 applicants, but almost half are incomplete applications. If this is what you want to do, then keep trying. i think they like it when you apply second time around and show improvements. They make it pretty simple to apply again. I think you just check off a box on the kaiser website. You don't have to resubmit transcript and such. As for me, on my second application, I polished up my resume, rewrote my personal statement, and made sure to stress my experience shadowing a CRNA. The last is SO important. Anyway, hope this helps. I'll be happy to talk to you about your application. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck everyone and wish me luck on the interview.

I applied this year and just found out a few days ago that I got an interview! I was floored--shaking and everything! lol And now I'm more nervous than ever. . . Interview tips from anyone who's been there before??

AkinaRN congrats on the interview. If you search "kaiser crna interview" there are few threads talking about it. I'm also totally psyched, but nervous. Can't stop thinking about it. Anyhow, I'm interviewing on 2/13. How about you? Wish you the best.

Thanks flyingfish! I'm interviewing also on the 13th, so maybe we'll see each other in the lobby. ;) I wish you the very best of luck and wishes! We'll all need it. :)

Hi everyone, thanks so much for this feed. It is very helpful in my venture to become a crna. By power greater than me I got a letter to interview this feb 2013. Does anyone know how many people got an interview and how many slots? Any interview tips? I am so nervous. Thanks

My friend is currently a SRNA at Kaiser. This year this program had the highest number of applicants they've ever had; it was an EXTREMELY competitive applicant pool. Congratulations on landing an interview! Be yourself, and be honest in the interview. Check other threads on here for past experiences and good luck!

Flyingfish2u- you seem so nice!! Thanks for the chin up! =) Good luck on your interview. I'm sure you will rock it! I'm not sure if you can personal message me but I would love to talk to you about the application process. Let me know. Thanks.
