I went ahead and called UAB today to find out why I had not received an invite to interview....they had me down for the Huntsville applicant pool for which they hadn't sent out invites yet. I had them place me on the Birmingham pool along with the Huntsville pool (since I live exactly in between the two cities) and she informed me that I would get a letter in late December. She told me that including myself that there were 14 applicants in the Huntsville pool that qualified for the interview, 7 of which will be accepted.

Hopefully having a 50% chance out of such a small group is a good thing.

I interviewed on Friday. Like any other interview, you should be well prepared. I hate to give advice because I won't know if what I did was effective until I have a slot. I had 5 separate interviews over 2 hours. Most of the interviewers were very comforting and friendly. Best of luck and let us know how it went!

I have heard that like the other in-state school there are really not many, if any, clinical questions. If that is the case, I am REALLY looking forward to my interview.

Did you interview in Birmingham?

No, I live in the Auburn area. I interview this Thursday. Are you in Birmingham? Which clinical site are you interviewing for?

I don't think I had any clinical questions. Mostly, why CRNA, why UAB, etc. Did you get accepted to Samford? Which clinical site are you interviewing for?

Sorry, your question was to badgernurse and I replied. I interviewed today for the "central component" as they called it. I assume my clinicals will be in Birmingham, which is where I live. Good luck Thursday.

Thanks for the good luck wishes. I really hope it works out, the program at UAB is much more economical that my other option. Hopefully we will get to know each other in class next year.
