Anyone going to Drexel?

Nursing Students SRNA

First post here, so please go easy on me:lol2: have read through the forum many times and decided I should now join. Have a few questions for anyone accepted to 's anesthesia program. I have been accepted for Jan of 09. I am going to start taking some of my core classes this january. Was wondering if anyone here is going through the program now, has been through the program lately, or will be going soon.

I am trying to figure out work load of the core classes so I can decide how many hours to drop down at work while taking 1 or 2 classes each semester and deciding in what order to take the classes.

feel free to PM me with any questions or answers

thanks.

Anthony

I was also accepted into 's CRNA program - starting full-time January 2009 and have started taking the core courses. I've heard from an extremely reliable source (past Drexel CRNA student) that the instructor for NURS520 (Advanced Physiology) is brutal -- not only does he just stand in the front of the class and read from the book, but he does not entertain any questions and intentially tries to undermine students on his tests (that by the way, the majority of the class fail)!!!! I'm taking this class this spring, but have been studying (I bough the book and have a syllabus) since last October.

congrats crna hopeful

I will be starting the program with you in 09. I too, have started taking my core classes. doing a couple each quarter to get them out of the way. way to much busy work to be dealing with that during the program. thanks for the advice regarding advanced physiology. I will keep that in mind when i sign up for that class. what classes are you taking now. feel free to PM me if you wish.

Hi!

I am at now (class of 09). The instructor is an acquired taste, I admit. But now there is a new professor who is the exact opposite. He is very nice and helpful and actually teaches! What a concept. I am not sure who'll be teaching the first of the four pathophys courses. I am taking my last pathophys course this quarter. I am so happy that it'll be over.

What courses are you taking right now? Knock off as many courses as you can, it'll help later:specs:
