Clinicals do not count. Many CRNA programs want 1-2 years acute care experience in an ICU type area. If you are already an RN, you can work if your school schedule allows the time.

If you already have your associates and work in an ICU while getting your BSN, that counts towards CRNA school. Clinicals and practicum however do not count.

This is how COA interprets acute care experience.

"Acute Care Experience: Work experience during which an RN has developed as anindependent decision-maker capable of using and interpreting advanced monitoring techniquesbased on knowledge of physiological and pharmacological principles. "
