hey all
if anyone wouldn't mind, just wondering if you current/accepted SRNAs would post your stats that got you into school...GRE, GPA, ICU experience, etc.
especially any east coasters-UMDNJ, columbia, penn, new britain, fairfield, etc.
in the process of applying and getting nervous!
thanks!!!

First year Student @ U. of Cincinnati
GRE: meager 1048
GPA: 3.87 Cumulative
ICU exp: 15 months or so at interview/ just over 2 years at start of program in an 18-bed adult combined MED/SURG/CV ICU.
I think military experience is looked on favorably as well as anything interesting you do/have done (volunteering, hobbies, etc).
Spend alot of time on Goal Statement (some schools call it a nursing philosophy) and allow for proofreading and revisions.
Amongst all the good grades, high GRE's, they want people too

I'm so happy to hear your stats! I'm applying to a different school, but your states are about like mine and you've given me hope that I might get at least an interview! SWEEEEET!

Well, but I don't have military experience. Dang.

GRE 910 3.5 verbal
8 yrs. SICU/MICU some ED
CCRN
For those who are not applying due to low GPA/GRE. Look at mine, I got accepted to two schools. Applied to 7. Was granted interview in all of them. Went to first two, got acceptance letters and skipped the rest. And so far, thank God, doing well.
If you want to be a CRNA bad enough, you will get in to school.
Just go for it.
It is possible.

I'm starting at UC in the fall...
GPA: 3.72
GRE: 1110
Experience: 15 mo at time of interview, a little more than 2 yrs once I start
No CCRN but studied for it for the interview at UC and it came in handy on the written test I got after the verbal part of the interview.
