How do they do that? Do I have to be denied before they can pull? Maybe I should call them. If that's the case, I will apply tonight. I really want an 18month program online so that I can keep up with the kids.

Yes you have to be denied before they can pull your info, however, you can apply and submit what you have and pay app fee, then while you are waiting on word from GU, you can start collecting transcripts to send...i was still waiting on one recommendation and one transcript, and was denied GU so they pulled all my info from GU and used it....because they are set up identically to GU and use the same online platform/application/school website they are able to get the info from there...but not until AFTER denied...T

Applying to GU and simmons...on the application where they ask for our health care experience working with families, do they mean families meaning working with people of all ages or families as in patients' families?? Has anyone asked this?? I dont want to interpret the question the wrong way!!

I took it to mean working with all ages like Family practice.

Since I haven't worked with kids, I took it to mean my experience with my adult patients and their families ie when family needs updates, reassurance, information etc regarding their sick family member.

Tasha, since I don't want to start hunting down my recommenders, I will wait for Simmons to pull them if GU turns me down. I should hear from them before Simmons deadline. Otherwise, the application is complete.

I honestly think it could mean either way really NP...as long as you have worked with a family as whole I suppose. Good luck with your apps, I'll be nervously waiting myself for the next couple of weeks. I did send my adviser an email friday at Simmons...there is a scholarship I want to apply to that closes the 27th of Nov, and I have to show proof of either registration or acceptance letter to apply ...he said I should have it before the deadline of the scholarship so that's good news LOL...Just sit back and wait and see I guess!

I agree. I just responded with what applies to my case.

I really want a January start. The idea of graduating during summer is very appealing.

Anyone heard anything on your applications?

I got a call today that UC still has not rendered a decision but should know something within the next two weeks or so...that would put me right at 4 wks this friday, so another two would be 6wks...so they appear to be right on their own schedule! =)

GU, for those that didnt know turned me down on Oct 26th...I applied to Simmons college and as of Oct 28th they had all my stuff...so I'm at 2 wks for them, and was told 3-5 wks to find out...no updates for them yet.
