UAB Fall 2012 Update

Nursing Students NP Students

Published

To all that have applied for a UAB NP program for Fall 2012, I received some news via email from one to the program directors. It turns out we will not be notified of acceptance or denial until the end of May! I thought the website said notification within 30 days of the deadline date. This is torture!! If anyone has any other info, please share.

I received my acceptance packet from UAB! I have been accepted to the dual acute/primary PNP program for fall. Congrats to all who have been accepted. For those receiving rejection letters...UAB is losing out on you. Keep moving forward.

Congrats everyone!!! Glad the wait is over. Good luck to all of you who will be starting school this fall and to those of you who didn't get in. Don't give up. Continue to follow your dreams. I have decided to attend The University of South Alabama. School starts in two months....enjoy your summer to the fullest!!

Does anyone know when USA will be sending letters out for their msn programs?

My friend called the last week in May and they said, "After June 1st"

Just talked to USA and they stated they hope to get letters out this week.

I wanted to apply for ACNP however when I spoke to the advisor she was discouraging. I was informed there were no preceptors in my area and I would have to find my own. I applied for adult instead and will be starting in the fall. Best Wishes!

I was elated to find a packet for admission into the PT Track of Adult Primary NP at UAB. I was rejected in Spring 2010, so this is exciting news :) I've already taken 2 of the required courses so I will be able to keep working for the 1st year. If you were rejected, don't let it prevent you from reapplying... you may be accepted when you least expect... True story!

Which 2 required courses have you taken? They sent a packet of how my courses are laid out....

I have already taken NUR601 and NUR602. I thought they would change my POS so I could take at least 2 classes per semester, but they didn't.

Has anyone gotten info about the drug screen or background check, yet?

I got into USA 's fnp program!!

I received the drug screen today. Haven't heard anything about the background check.
