Hello everyone - this is my second time applying. A month ago, I bombed the interview!

If this is your first time applying, there's a world of information from previous years, especially from the 2012 thread where we reached more than one thousand messages.

I know it's super early to start this thread, but this whole thing takes a long time to prepare and the more time we have before the deadline, the better.

I'm from the Seattle area, my background is Microbiology from the UW and I am again applying for the midwifery track.

I take that back. I just realized I have been having the "heart sinking" feeling the whole day.

I've been having that feeling ever since Saturday...almost as if I have chills and don't know what's wrong! (or perhaps I'm coming down with something...my next-door coworker did go home sick after throwing up in the bathroom earlier...shoot

For what it is worth, 5pm here on the East Coast and nothing from Seattle. On debt and student loans, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program may be an option for some of you, and Graduate PLUS Loans qualify. It's probably the route that I will take.

Calinca - I agree with your sentiment. I am becoming more and more apprehensive. The one thing that gives me hope is that salinn emailed yesterday and they said they hadn't sent them out yet. Keep that in mind. It has given me some semblance of sanity since I read it. The bad part now is that flights to Seattle will be too expensive to interview in person. I have been to SU campus several times and have family in Seattle, but since I am not there now, I may need to do the phone interview. Flights are ticking up drastically by the day.

Icelind- chills are no fun. I don't have the chills, but I do have a knot forming in my stomach. I don't think I got that from my next-door coworker ;) but believe me, I understand. If no one has heard from them by this evening, I think I will have a myocardial infarction. (I'm only slightly kidding)

Unfortunately, I also am preparing myself for the possibility that because I have applied to the FNP track (as well as a few others of us on here - I know you are also FNP track icelind), we may not know for a day or two after the other emails go out. That has been the case in the past couple of years according to the comments on here in 2011 and 2012. But - sure hope that isn't the case!

I'm preparing myself for that as well Hawaii, it seems with more applicants it takes more time to go through the applications and therefore more time waiting!

FinnCat, I could be wrong but I think I remember reading about some emails arriving late in the day like 5 or 6 pm PT.. they also like to email on weekends hahaha. Today is my husband's birthday and all I can think of is to check my email blah!

I have a feeling that competition is going to be fierce this year..

Am I wrong or do we have several future murses in this thread?

Lol Calinca. I think so too! Which is great! At one of the schools I interviewed at, there was a male CNM conducting interviews.

salinn I also know a couple male and trans midwives. I think it's great too!!
