Really struggling in program-advice?

Nursing Students NP Students

Hi everyone! I haven't been around in a while, I have been SO busy the past several months with work and my NP program.

This semester I have the advanced patho class and I am struggling pretty hard. I thought it would be very similar to the things I had read here in the past, mostly disease processes and such, however my class isn't really what I thought. It is more of a cellular-level biology and chemistry. My brain just SWIMS at equations and such! Pretty much weekly we are looking at drawings and diagrams of different processes and then tested on the HOW and WHY of them. That's what I'm having issues with. I bought some supplemental books like "patho for dummies" type books, however they are NO help. this class is way more advanced than that.

my program requires you to keep a B+ level grade in each class or you are dismissed. i met with the prof, they were some help however i just am growing more frustrated daily! i am doing student loans so dropping would drop my loan status AND add an entire year to my training, because the classes go in a specific order...

i have asked classmates to get together a study group for upcoming BIG test. any other suggestions??? thanks!!

It may sound weird but youtube has some great instructors. I just found one that mirrored my learning style.

thanks angel- that was something i have tapped into as well. i have some things that we are required to watch, but i'm also trying to find supplemental things there as well. i think this IS just a learning style situation. thanks!
