Has anyone applied to or has already been granted admission to Loyola BSN-DNP starting this summer/fall?If you are waiting on acceptance how long have you been waiting? If you are already accepted how was the admission process? Getting nervous over here and just wanted to find some peers in the boat.

Hi Born_2BRN

I just asked you on another post if you had applied to loyola. I received the email today as well. I am super excited!! One step closer...have you already set your interview time. I have not but then again I just emailed them my Skype username a few minutes ago. Let me know if you hear anything.

I have not set up for the interview yet. They told me I will hear back in a few weeks. Only sent them my ID and phone number. I hope it will be sooner. How about you?

They literally want to know why you picked a DNP program and how committed you will be to it. They let me know about a month later.

Just had my interview for the BSN-DNP program. Totally nervous and will be antsy for the 2-3 weeks it will take to hear back. My interview was 40 minutes! Not sure if that is good or bad!!

I hope you get accepted! I haven't heard anything yet but of course I just sent them my info on Friday. So since you had the interview already, was it true to what others said where they want to know why you pick the program and how committed you are?

Congrats on getting your interview. I am waiting to hear when my interview will be scheduled. I don't think 40mins is bad. How were the questions they asked you? Was there anything you wished you had looked up prior to your interview. If you are like me the more nervous/antsy you are the better you did. Most of the time when i am like that I have done very well (i am always hard on myself that way). 2-3 weeks huh?? I will be sitting on the edge of my seat with you. I wish you the best of luck and pray that we will all be able to to meet at orientation!

Thanks for the encouragement!! I wish I had thought more about where I wanted to go with my DNP. That question is a hard one for me. It's always easier to figure out what I don't want to do! It sounds like they had a lot of applicants and that it will be very competitive. I'd like to stick with Loyola for grad school.... My BA is from there and I finish my BSN with them in May. I'm really worried about the financial aspect of everything. I guess I won't worry about it until I know if I am in! Does anyone know if every applicant get an interview?

I was also curious if they interview everyone or just a selected few. Do you know how much deposit will they required pay in advance to secure your seat?

I think if we are accepted the deposit is $500, which goes towards tuition.

Hey y'all, sorry I haven't responded. Congrats on all your interviews! I just looked in order to give y'all a frame of reference, and my interview was November 17th, and I was accepted on December 7th. I may have been shorter if not for Thanksgiving (but who knows). I sent my $500 deposit back January 5th, and it still hasn't been deposited, I'm not sure why though. Maybe they are waiting on the remainder of the applicants who are accepted.

Did you apply starting summer? I haven't set up an interview yet. They said a faculty will contact me scheduling interview. Not sure when but hopefully soon?

Yea, I think we start towards the end of May. I think it took about a week to let me know what faculty member I would be interviewing with, and then that faculty member contacted me and set up an interview time. If you haven't already, set up a Skype account and get that going. So you can have it as soon as you need to.

Do you know when the week of orientation at the school starts? Is it before school starts or does it take place during the first week? I am also waiting to hear from the faculty member regarding my interview. I have to admit I am getting very excited( like I have already been admitted...maybe my gut knows something I don't). I saw earlier where you had already paid your deposit so I was wondering if you had anymore info about what's coming. If we are starting in may everything is going to happen really fast for the later acepted students so I am trying to think ahead.
