EKU online FNP program

I am seriously considering applying for the summer start EKU online post masters FNP certificate program. I know that the classes are taken one at a time and are 8 weeks long. I work (3) 12 hour shifts a week that is probably not negotiable to change since I still have children at home. Tell me about the program, the good/bad/ugly.

I am also looking up information for University, University of Mass- Boston, and Angelo State as these all have an online post masters certificate program and the application deadline is not up. How would these compare to EKU?

I am also interested in hearing more from anyone with experience. I have applied for the Summer start date and am waiting to hear back about acceptance. I already have 2 graduate level courses under my belt from another university, so hoping that my coursework can be tailored around this. From my communication with the school, I have had a great feeling about attending EKU. I understand their online program is very new (first graduating class this year), but as a student of another online program, I have no fears. Their FNP program has been running for a few years and show a 100% pass rate on national boards. The best thing is this is a 100% online program with 0 visits to campus required!

I too have applied for summer start. I love the fact that they have had a 100% success rate. So far all dealings with the campus has been positive. I read a lot of reviews that stated they were really student friendly and understand that we all work. Keeping my fingers crossed for admittence.

I am an EKU MSN student in the PMHNP program and I love it. I started last summer. I work FT and it's doable. I was accepted at SLU and . So glad I opted for EKU. I've had no issues and have completed 4 courses. It's a good school. I like that it's also a credible brick and mortar institution. Good luck with your decision. I think you'll be pleased with EKU.

Can you PM me? I have applied for admission to EKU PMHNP program for this summer and I have some questions. Thanks.

Apparently I have not had a minimum of 15 posts so I am not allowed to send PM's.........Can anyone answer how long it took to get a decision? Where did you get your BSN from and what was your GPA when you applied? The wait is driving me crazy!!!!

How's the EKU PMHNP program going. I am interested in applying. Any advice or suggestions. Has it been a good learning experience. How did you do with the 360 clinical hours during the last semester. Was it very difficult. Did EKU require an affiliation agreement with your clinical site? Thank you.

I am in the PMHNP program. So, I'm only going on what the FNP students say and they LOVE it. The woman that teaches all the FNP classes, taught our Pharmacology class and she is AMAZING! She's kind, sweet, smart, and so encouraging. She's organized and efficient, she gives you what you need to know, and while her quizzes apply the information, they are pretty challenging, but because it's her, you want to do well. The FNP side is well put together. I think you will find nothing wrong with that program.

I'm starting this program in Jan! I need all the help and advice I can get please can you PM ME?

Sure. You'll do great! I can honestly say I've been happy with EKU. Especially, after some of my friends stories from their NP school. EKU is waaaay more organized & involved. I feel that the professors know us as if we were in the brick & mortar campus. Just expect to bust your a$$ and spend every spare minute perfecting papers, studying lectures & notes, & writing APA...Make sure your APA is FLAWLESS...If you put the effort in the beginning, you will have no issues with "writing scholarly"....Give me a shout, I'm around next few hours.

I am starting their FNP program in Fall 2017. I have received some good info from members on this site. Dolliiee123 let me know how it goes! I am an alumni of their brick and mortar BSN program back in the early 2000's.

I called you yesterday(got the number before you edited the post)!
