Submitted my application for Drexels dual pediatric primary/acute care NP program. Finally received the email a few days ago saying application complete and currently under review. Anyone else apply to this program or know anyone else who has attended this program?

Hey! I applied to 's PNP program for the fall too! Just for primary care though. I don't know anybody personally who has gone through it, but from what I've read on here people seem very pleased with the program. My only concern is having to set up our own clinicals :(

Have you received an answer back yet? Did you get in? Im not sure if applications begin getting reviewed as so as they are submitted or after the application deadline date which is june 1st.

Not yet. I just completed my application and received the email that it was under review last week. I believe they have rolling admissions (although now I can't where I read that), so hopefully we won't have to wait too long!

I emailed the admissions office abouthow long it will take typically for decisions to be made. They emialed me back saying that it depends on the competitiveness and the amount of applicants. They try to render decisions as soon as possible but the latest a decision is made is July 1st. í ½í¸¤

I applied last fall (former grad) and was accepted to the FNP in February. It took about two months or so. Applying late may mean you have to wait until after the deadline in June. I had great experience at Drexel (BSN) and the faculty are the best so i choose to continue there. Good luck to all who apply :)

That's so great to hear that you were happy with the BSN program! Do you know anybody who has gone through the NP program already? My only real concern is finding my own clinical placements. I'm trying to decide between and my local university... however I've been much more impressed with my interactions with Drexel so far and have heard better things about the program overall. The only (big) downsides are having to find clinicals and the cost. However I also won't find out if I get into the other school (for Spring 2018) until September long after I would have to give Drexel my decision, so that makes things tricky. Basically I need to accept Drexel's offer or take a gamble.

Congrats!!! Yes. And I've only heard good things. From what I heard a lot of programs now offer that you find your own clinical placements. Most students start searching for placement early so it's less stressful. If you work in any of the partner hospital/organization you may be eligible for a discount. Are you out of state?

Yup I'm quite a bit out of state, and unfortunately don't work at a partner institution. I know a lot of programs now require you to find your own preceptors, so it's not necessarily a negative toward , but the other program I applied to does find them for you so it's just something I'm taking into consideration. I hear it's a pain in the butt but that everybody finds one eventually as long as you put in the time and effort to make connections.
