I've been working in a nuclear medicine practice for three and a half years in patient-facing roles (DEXA exams, patient education, etc.) and have realized that what I really would like to do is treat my own patients as a Nurse Practitioner. I have a BS in Biology (roughly a 3.0 GPA) and have completed most of the prerequisite classes through a local community college. I've been looking at a few schools, but am wondering if I even stand a chance without being a CNA, or having any volunteer experience...can anyone give me any insight? Should I start volunteering ASAP, or will my work experience be enough?
