I'm trying to make my final decision on where I am going to attend school this fall.

With UNC - my program is an on-campus FNP.

With Bama - it's an online dual program for FNP/PMHNP (which is very tempting and will allow me to practice in either area).

There are tons of pros and cons to both programs to me, but I wanted to hear from current or former students about their experiences.

- Do you/did you feel like you're well prepared to enter the work force?

- Were professors easily approachable and had your best interest at heart?

- Is it easy to ask for help and actually RECEIVE the help you may need from staff?

- Were clinicals easy to organize and set up?

- Anything else you think is a shining bonus to the school or something you would've like to have been changed.

I appreciate everyone's time!

Graduating from UNC would look good "name-wise", if your concerned with that type of thing. It is a well established State school that is also a respected nursing school in general. With the whole NC board of Governors thing and and only one out-of-state/distance NP program being approved to accept NC who would do clinicals in the state (Frontier Nursing University), you would run into less issues going to am instate and public school.
