I am looking for some feedback on Spring Arbor's Online MSN Family nurse practitioner program. Has anyone attended or graduated from there? I have had some good conversations with the admission team and it seems like a great program. They are accredited and it is part time, taking almost 3 years to complete. I can't find many reviews from students online. Would appreciate any information!

Hello Mlnurse89,

How long did it take for you to find out about acceptance?

What are the classes like? Online lectures, quizzes etc. Did your classes run smoothly?

Thanks for all the input! Glad it seems to be a good program! Have the teachers online been good?? Pending acceptance, I plan to start in May

I got into Frontier and decided to go there. Best of luck.

I tried looking for info on them all last month, and could not find much. It is a traditional brick and mortar school, and from the small amount of posts I found on here, everyone seems content with their program, and the school. I applied this week as well and am pending response. Good luck!

Awesome! Yea i haven't heard of any complaints about the school at least! So that's always good. I'm excited about it. Will you be starting in March? I plan to start may If I get accepted. Good luck

I applied for the March start date. Fingers crossed. We can keep each other updated on how our progression is going. I wasn't told if books were included with tuition. Were you?

I'm fairly certain the admission lady told me books were not included. Which is a bummer but I guess we can rent books?

Before I got into Frontier I was able to look at the mySAU page, books were very reasonable, they even posted prices to buy elsewhere. I was told not to expect >$200 a term. Good luck to all of you, I was very impressed with SAU. I just have my heart set on women's health.

Good to know, thanks for sharing that info!

Ornursect, can you let me know how long after you submitted your application you received the notification of acceptance? Have you already started, or are you starting in March as well?

It was less than two weeks. I ended up getting into Frontier and I'm going there.

I'm in the general classes right now (next semester is pharm and patho) so my books have been dirt cheap. Next semester it may change. They may get you with a 300 level stats class. They are really strict on that. Ohio University required 200. They had to make an exception because a lot of people did not read their acceptance letter closely and they did not realize their stats class didn't transfer. I think half of the students were hoping to fly under the radar though. Feeling a little stressed due to realizing the challenge of finding clinical sites. I am looking at clinical sites now so it's my first time.
