Specializes in NICU.

Hey Guys,

I am from and currently live in Alabama (Roll Tide Roll!!), but I am relocating to SC in May or June of 06'. I need to know where are the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units located?? What are the names of the hospitals and the cities??? Any info good or bad you can share about the hospitals??

Thanks so much!

Hey! I know your post is a bit dated, but I decided to reply anyway. I volunteered for a few months at Greenville Memorial Hospital's NICU. They have 3 levels there. I thought the nurses were great, and the hospital has recently gained medical university status. Their webpage is ghs.org. Good luck in SC!

I currently work at Spartanburg Regional Medical CEnter. We are a LIII NICU, but we currently send out complicated surgical pts until our PICU gets up and running. 24-soon to be 35 beds. http://www.srhs.com

Hi!

I was just wondering, does Spartanburg hire new graduates. I am very interested in working in the NICU, I feel like it is my passion. I really want to stay in South Carolina and I was just looking at all the surrounding hospitals. Also, does the NICU there also people to shadow nurses? Thanks!

Yes, you can shadow nurses, you just need to contact the nursing education office. [call the # on the website]

As for hiring new grads....I graduated in May, and they took me....also they are more receptive to new grads since we are have a few open RN positions. Good luck!
