Hi there...do you have any information, sources, references, or anything other than the pure gut conjecture on which this is based?

I'm going to take a guess....no?

Not enough responsibility for healthcare woes in this country is being attributed to the patient. I have worked directly with recipients of both private and public sector healthcare for over 20 years and there is little difference in attitude among the healthcare consumer populations. Most see healthcare as a one-way relationship - make me feel better, but don't expect anything from me. Until this changes, there will be little improvement in the state of American healthcare delivery, no matter how much money we throw at it.

The September 2008 issue of Consumer Reports examined healthcare in the US. According to Consumer Reports, if everyone in the US took up healthy living tomorrow, we would still have the world's highest medical costs.

Of course. But you might not want to frame it as utter fact, when in fact you are wrong. And you have been proven wrong by history and every single other industrialized country that exists other than the USA, etc etc.

So sure, if you want to maintain an utterly delusional belief in something that is so factually incorrect that it would almost be humorus (if it didn't involve the suffering and death of millions every year) that's fine. But please at least preface your opinion as such.
