I don't look at where people are from. Why is she discussing health care issues for the USA anyway?

I want smart government, and whether you want to admit many Americans want the government to take a larger role in social affairs (health care.. etc..). I understand some people are fearful of big government, ultimately we are all going to have to compromise.

I understand there is a role for private insurers in other countries, in many countries it's a small role and it's heavily regulated.

The results of health care reform aren't known, because nothing has been implemented yet. The health care industry certainly has a hand to play in parts of the blame, as well as big pharma and hospital corp.

You say that most nurses, "can't make a living" in some of these other countries, I'd like for you to offer evidence, if you don't mind.

Education is a right, that should answer your medical school question.
So grad school is a right? My PhD is a right.

Health care insurance is highly regulated in this country. Go to any insurance website. Put in several different states of residence and see that in some states you only have a choice of 2 insurers and other states you have many more. And that is your government regulating it.

Someone said last year "This is a great country. Now let's change it". And that makes sense how?

You love this country but you want the government to take over more and more of it?

Private hospitals have dumped patients on skid row

I never said it was. I just asked why the poster was posting about a USA issue. I said I didn't look to see where the poster was from. Didn't think it was an issue. Or worth worrying about.
