Haha.. you're funny. Keep going!

PS: Patriotism is great - it's one of the things I like best about Americans. Blind patriotism, at the expense of logic, is silly. Putting other countries or nationalities down (especially when you've never even been there) is rude and ignorant.
PPS: I think you'll find that Australia has assisted the US in every global war effort to date, sent firefighters to help with natural disasters etc.... you may want to inform yourself before making yourself appear even more ridiculous.

Are you, actually, insane? Who says things like that??!! You really need to get out of the US and see outside these shores to get a realistic view of life.

Clearly there is no point arguing with you, because .. well.... I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent, as the saying goes.
Clearly another liberal that hates America - I have been outside the United States many times - I have seen many (moderator edit) world countries - and I still think America is the greatest nation on earth, as long as the far left cooks that liver here don't take over and try to socialize everything while hating on America 24-7.

This thread has taken some rather nasty turns and needs to be closed for a timeout.

Please, folks, let's debate the ISSUE and not individual members. Per Allnurses.com's Terms of Service, personal attacks and inflammatory posts are not permitted, and will not be tolerated. Remember, if you wouldn't say it to a roomful of your co-workers and supervisors, don't post it here. Thank you.

Oh please...We have limited the utility companies for years to a 10-15% ROR and the companies continue to do just fine. We are captive customers of the insurance companies. They would do just fine on a 5-7% ROR....

EVERYONE KNOWS WE HAVE PROBLEMS IN OUR HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, BUT UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE IS NOT THE ANSWER.

I was educated in private school and my son goes to private school. I refused to let him attend the socialist indoctrination camps.
Good to know you will not use the USA's current socialist health care system when you turn 65--Medicare is what I am talking about!!!!! Why should this socialized medical plan (Medicare) be available only when you turn 65? Good to know you don't use the library, the police or fire dept or have attended public higher education. You must have gone to a private nursing school that was not tax supported like our community colleges and universities are. These are examples of socialist institutions too! Or did you attend a government, tax supported social indoctrination camp for your nursing degree????

She pays in about 29.5% per year!! which is still high, but she does have medical coverage at no cost out of pocket!! If we could have all the people in the country covered, I wouldn't care if I payed the same as i do now or even a little more... Insurance and pharm. companies have made enough money on the backs of americans..enough is enough!!! They can make less money. If they don't want to do that, then let them go somewhere else ...They both have sucked the medical industry dry.. It has to change.. How many pt's do we have to see that can't afford their medicines before we as a country do something about it?
37% is not possible considering the highest federal income bracket for a single person is 35%. That is only for income >370K. Even if you made 370K your total tax rate would be about 30%.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Income_..._United_States

Let's assume you make 80K. You should really be paying ~20% total. Perhaps you should get an accountant. Sounds like you are getting the shaft

The best part about your posts citing TPM and John Stewart, is that while you criticize Rush Limbaugh, YOU rely on a far leftist website and a comedian as resources for what you believe to be factual knowledge. I guess dudes such as Coburn, Kyl, Ryan, Burr etc... do not present an audible alternative on these reputable sources. Don't get me wrong, the guy really is funny. I just wouldn't use him to persuade my argument.
