Country's with socialized medicine vs the USA (Personal Income Tax)

Oh, so because your FIL has been to Australia and says it "does not compare to these United States", that makes it fact?

Are you, actually, insane? Who says things like that??!! You really need to get out of the US and see outside these shores to get a realistic view of life.

Clearly there is no point arguing with you, because .. well.... I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent, as the saying goes.

So when have you made enough money? How about I cap your income at say, $35,000 per year. That is more than enough to live on because I said so. Do you realize how dangerous it is limiting a private corporations profit? This isn't the USSR, or do you want it to be the Communist States of America?

Good post, but liberals won't understand because it makes sense. Babble a little bit, make no sense and talk about raising taxes and they'll nod in agreement, scream change, and be your friend.

I was educated in private school and my son goes to private school. I refused to let him attend the socialist indoctrination camps.

How do I get to pay only 29% tax....I am single and pay 37% fed. tax and am lucky to live in a state with no state income tax... I think those numbers are a little off, or I am just being really screwed when it comes to tax... I have a single friend in the U.K. and her tax is alot lower than mine... She pays in about 29.5% per year!! which is still high, but she does have medical coverage at no cost out of pocket!! If we could have all the people in the country covered, I wouldn't care if I payed the same as i do now or even a little more... Insurance and pharm. companies have made enough money on the backs of americans..enough is enough!!! They can make less money. If they don't want to do that, then let them go somewhere else ...They both have sucked the medical industry dry.. It has to change.. How many pt's do we have to see that can't afford their medicines before we as a country do something about it?
