  2. get kicked off because of med error
Nope, my instructors were there every minute of every clinical. We were not ALLOWED to be at a clinical site without an instructor. She would divide us up, some would go to same day where there...

  4. get kicked off because of med error
Whoa!! Your school has you out at clinical sites with NO instructor present? What kind of facility wants to take on that kind of responsibility? I get a little more frightened with every post you...

  5. get kicked off because of med error
Wait. Are you a STUDENT or an actual nurse. I'm confused. If you're a student, why would you have a preceptor? If you're a student, how in the world are you passing such heavy duty narcotics...

  6. Do LPNs use stethoscopes?
I'd be frightened if one didn't! Or at least had one very available to them. An LPN can't do INITIAL assessments in my state, but they sure can do continuing ones. I'm not sure how you can assess...

  7. Are your choice of scrubs childish?
I am too old for cartoon characters (ie: older than 9!) and I don't work in peds, so NO, I will not wear Tweety, Betty Boop, Snoopy or Mickey Mouse.

  10. Danskos hurt my feet :(
I have two pair of Danskos, same size. My white ones are so comfy, my black ones KILL the tops of my feet by the end of a 12 hour shift. No problems like that with my Alegria's though!

  11. How to NOT interview for your RN/LPN job!
I feel the same way, if the interview panel weeds out those who are unable to even care enough to put in a real interview outfit, that narrows the competitive field right away!

  12. Proper undergarments under WHITE PANTS
We had to wear all white in nursing school. We decided that rule was made by post-menopausal sadistic instructors hell-bent on abject humiliation of nursing students!

  13. Does Doctor's office practice need an RN
When I think "manage a practice", my head thinks administratively, and in that case NO, unless the RN has exceptional administrative skills, of course =) Are you talking about an RN making house...

  14. Please give me some feedback on my resume so I can apply for my dream job!
I would get rid of the "Who's who" line. Isn't that an "honor" you buy for yourself?

  15. Need to resign ASAP
Two months orientation? Um that's a lifetime compared to what some nurses get! 3 years and a $30,000 "fine" is a pretty hefty contract to have signed. I think you've painted yourself into the...

  19. What to where?
I would never WEAR capris OR sandals to an interview. Too casual. I'm old school and would never show my toes in front of potential bosses. And why a lab coat? Ditch that pronto, in my opinion
