  4. New laws requiring LPNs and RNs to become BSN by 2016
Hospital where I work is trying not to hire ADNs. It's pretty cruddy since the local CC NP was at one time the diploma program attached to hospital in question. Lucky for me I got in 15 years ago.

  8. How are Schools getting away with pumping out so many new graduates for no jobs?
It might not be a school's obligation to find you a job, but it is the responsibility of the advisers not to sell a bill of goods to prospective students. It is the responsibility of the agencies...

  11. How are Schools getting away with pumping out so many new graduates for no jobs?
Adding too...maybe the ANA should take a harder stand on accrediting colleges of nursing. Try and even out the boom/bust cycle and pay closer attention to state licensure data as well as job forcasts.

  14. How are Schools getting away with pumping out so many new graduates for no jobs?
Good grief! This is very harsh. There are shortages in areas that don't have nursing schools nearby and there are gluts in areas of high population concentrations. Some people can mount a national...

Way back in the late '90's I worked some in VRE isolation. The hospital provided scrubs and I dug out an old pair of sneakers and hid them near this area. Because what's the point of supplying scrubs...
