    I don't wake them up for asessments. I either do it in the morning or chart that the patient is sleeping. Once our folks are settled we don't wake them up for anything.

    We do 12 hour nights and our meds are at 2100. We don't duscuss the PRNs with the patients because they are confused. We just give what they need to settle.

    Fastest and shortes t doesn't mean it;s the best. Remeber, you actually need to know this stuff for the nursing program. Trying to cut corners isn't always a good idea.

    I work 12 hour shifts at a hospital and 8 hour shifts at a LTC facility. It works well. One job is every other weekend and one is every third weekend. Weekends off are rare but it still works well...
