    My Experience

I received a quality nursing education which prepared me to start my career in nursing. The school partnered with IU School of Medicine, Ivy Tech College, and Union Hospital to create a state of the art simulation lab. The center is the first to be accredited in Indiana and one of only 38 centers nationwide to earn such recognition http://therhic.stsweb.indstate.edu/index.php/simcenter

    About The Staff

All of the instructors did a good job at teaching us what we needed to learn to be a competent new grad nurse. The Med/Surg instructor stood out amongst the others. He was a mentor and a role model of what we should strive to be as a nurse.

    My Experience

I was given advance warning before starting the program by the chairperson to make sure I had clinical sites established bc they do not facilitate this. I was able to prepare and have this ready and that created a seamless transition through the program. This program strengthen my nursing attributes and autonomy.

    About The Staff

The staff was tough, as nursing school should be! An easy pass does NOT make a great a nurse! And while they were tough, they were accessible as well as the adjunct and chairperson for discussions or concerns. Expectations and requirements are set at the begining and made very clear. This was an online theory course so can be challenging, as is nursing in general. You get what you put into your education, so put your all into it and you will get the same respect and time from the staff Financial aide was super easy and all the additional university support centers were still accessible. I used the math center, writing center, and tech labs via phone and online 24/7.
