    My Experience

I am in the middle of the family nurse practitioner program. I have found it to be very challenging, but rewarding. Four stars are given on some of the ratings above due to the asynchronous material needing to be updated and corrected. Also, the curriculum could include more practical classes such as xray and EKG interpretation.

Students in this program are motivated, busy professionals which has made the learning environment great. The people who do not take this program seriously are weeded out with the rigor of the program.

    About The Staff

I cannot say enough about the professors, student support people, and IT helpdesk. Their knowledge and encouragement has been wonderful. My student support person checks on me frequently and often gives great advice based on comments from other students that she has talked to. I honestly have never spoken to my student advisor, except through email. I had issues with them canceling a section of a class which really messed up my schedule. My advisor was unable to help, which made that term really tough for me. Also, the course leads tend to be unhelpful and inflexible regarding questions or concerns about test content.

    Things To Know

Overall, a solid school and FNP program.
