School Nurse Interview! What should I review beforehand?

Hi all!
I have a school nurse interview at an elementary school this coming tuesday. I am so excited! I have been applying for school nurse positions since I've been out of school and this is my first interview! Go me! lol Anyway, I just wanted to find out from school nurses or people who have had recent school nurse interviews what would should I review before going to the interview? Good resources?

I plan on reviewing immunization schedule and symptoms and management of asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, meningitis, lice, and influenza (please feel free to give me more to check!) in children.

I do not have pediatric hospital or community health experience. My experience is in Telemetry and Progressive Care. In my coverletter I highlighted projects that I did during school health clinical and also a child mentoring program I was a part of in school.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

I also was wondering how current school nurses handled different cultures and financial extremes of families in their schools?

Just a little advise that worked in my behalf landing a school nurse job... substitute in the nurse's office in the district you eventually want to work in. Not only does it help you learn the ropes, it gets your foot in the door. I subbed last year for the nurse-she went out on medical leave. Ended up getting the job. The principal and key personnel get to know you-and if they like you-they will go to bat for you! Then, you already know alot of the staff, the kids, etc. If its something you really want to do, the sacrifice of the pay-per-day that you get for "subbing" will be well worth it Good luck!
