I occasionally get an aura but more often than not I'm just smacked with the pain.
But with migraines, one's mileage may vary.Whispera likes this. -

My mom didn't get the aura either. My triggers aren't sound, but lack of or too much caffine, and stress. Stress is the biggest. I don't get them near as often now. Sometimes they are hormonal as well. Noise and light are horrible for me when I do have a migraine.frenchfroggyRN likes this. - Feb 7 by KelRN215Teenage boy walks in and says "my nose hurts when I do this" and proceeds to basically hit himself in the nose. Response? "Don't do that and go back to class."
- Feb 8 by KitkatPRNI asked a pt. (with dementia) "Are you feeling confused today?" Should've seen the eyebrows rise from family and staff ... yikes !! (background info: he was having blood sugar issues) ... Funniest thing is, he answered "No, Nancy" ... (ha ha , his sister is Nancy and she passed last year).
