ANOTHER fracture?!?!?!

Seriously, it is not even Christmas yet and I have just sent my second forearm fracture to the ED. Plus two others who fractured their arms at home (one of which did not get seen by a doc until I insisted mom take him...but that is another story). Before this year I averaged only one per year, I am scared that the year is not even halfway over and I am on my second one! On the bright side I am getting pretty good at splinting. We have those cool blow up air splints, but they are always too big (even the child size).

So, how many fractures does your school average per year, and how many students do you have (I have about 500).

I have a population of about 800 students. Usually have 1 fx per year.
Yep, sounds like you are having a "banner year" ! Hang in there Purple !

LOL! Luckily we only get that once or twice per year in North Texas.

I am going to have to put in an order for more air splints, since I refuse to have less than two on hand at any given time. They are going to think I am blowing them up and using them as balloons!!! Banner year, indeed!
