What time do you wake up for work?

I am lucky as I only have a 15 minute commute. I am changing my schedule this year so that next week when my own kids start school, I can drop them off at 7:25 and then get to my job ready to work by 8:00 am. Currently I get up at 6 am and I have been leaving the house at 7:15 am, but once next week is here and I am making sure my kids are ready and out the door I am wondering if I will need extra time, but the thought of getting up before 6 am makes me sad, LOL. I am a morning person, but I definitely feel like any earlier than 6 am is EARLY!! But then all the teachers I work with are getting up at 5 am and a couple who live far get up at 4:30 am :wideyed:

I get up at 6am. We only have one bathroom, so I have to get up that early to get myself ready, then I wake up my kids to get ready. I leave the house by 7:30 and get to work by 7:45. 2 of my kids come with me and hang out in my office until time for them to go to class, the older one drives in himself as he has sports practice after school. I'm not a morning person and hate getting up that early, but then I remember the days of 12 hour shifts that started at 6am, and how early I had to get up, and I'm ok!

For my school job my alarm and coffee maker are set for 5:45. Myself and my 2 kids leave the house at 7:15 or 7:20 and get to school at about 7:30 or 7:35. They eat breakfast in the cafeteria and I head to my office to work (huge benefit of being in the same building as my kids this year!). We also only have one bathroom so to get everyone showered, teeth brushed, hair brushed, etc. means we're doing it in shifts.

When I work at the hospital I get up at 5 and leave my house by 6. I have a 40 minute commute and then I have to find parking, get to my unit, make my second cup of coffee so I can punch in by 7. Those are tough mornings. I'm one of those people that needs a lot of sleep (9 hours is my ideal!) in order to function at my best.

I have a 10 minutes commute. I get up at 6:35 and me and 3 kids are out the door at 7:30.

when I had a much longer commute, I got up at 5:30. So glad to not be doing that anymore!

It's a toss up between my tiny one waking me up at 6 or my alarm going off at 6:30.

I am a 30 min drive from my school, and I get into my office between 8 and 8:30, we start at 9.

I have a ten minute drive. I wake up at 6:15. Hubs wakes up the preschoolers at 6:25ish and gets them ready/cereal while I am getting ready, then I take over (do the hair) when he leaves for work (6:45ish). We arrive at school at 7:10-7:15.

I take very little time getting myself ready most mornings. I always go to bed with the intention on getting up ten minutes earlier to straighten my hair so I can wear it down. I actually do this maybe once a week, the other days I pull it up in a cute up-do. People comment on how cute it is, I let them know it's my "lazy-hair" because it takes less time than wearing it down.

I like my sleep. Hashimoto's does that to a person.

3 AM. (no kids): Hit the gym, go for a walk near school (we're on the coast, I catch some beautiful skies over the water) and in the office by 6AM.

OMG wow!! Do you go to sleep early or are you one of those lucky ones who requires little sleep?

You are my hero. I ALWAYS tell myself that this is the week I'm going to wake up early and go for a walk...and that never ever happens

Half and half. Relatively early to bed, do okay on 6 hrs sleep...

I wake up some time between 6:10 and 6:30. My kids are in the same school as me and it's just a few minutes from our house. I know we are lucky!

I am a bit envious of the others that are ambitious enough to wake up for some exercise! I always intend to wake up earlier, but then stay up too late. I worked night shift mostly for about 20 years, so I find the most energy later at night.
