staff powerpoint

  1. Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the last little bit of summer we have left!

I am a new school nurse (and first time poster!), going into my second year. I work at an Elementary School in New Jersey that is K-5. I was asked to put together some information to present to the staff. (we return for training 2 weeks before the students return in September)
I was thinking information on Blood-borne pathogens, dos and donts of sending students to the nurse's office, general information on lice and asthma, concussion s/s.

But my question is, do any of you have to do a presentation at the beginning of the school year for staff?
And if so, would anyone be willing to share their Power Point with me or any information in general that you share with your staff?
I absolutely love school nursing and this site has been extremely helpful in my many questions I have on a daily basis!

    Thank you all in advance!
    Amanda

    Hi Amanda,

Are you doing an epi-pen training? There is a great one here: allergyhome.org/schools Slides are already done and comes with a completion quiz staff can take at the end. also, the overall website has great resources.

I use allerdyready.com for allergy/epipen training and I find a youtube video that fits the environment best for bloodborne pathogens.
