We are going into negotiations for a new contract next year. Right now the nurses are on the aide scale - very low, very insulting. I'm trying to gather information to build a case for a separate catagory for nurses with better pay. Any ideas would be appreciated. What is your school's nurse salary? We are RN's working under the direction of a BSN/CSN.

I'm a LPN working under a RN, I do not know what the RN makes but I am on a nurse's pay scale, which is above the para's pay scale. It's still low but not much lower then the hospital across the street and I have better benefits here. Good luck :)

Our school dist. puts us on the sane pay scale as teachers we only get credit for school nurse experience not total years nursing experience

This is my second year as a school nurse, ( RN) after 25 years hospital experiance. I am under the direction of a certified BSN.
I make $13.75/hr. Myself and the other "health aide" have no bargaining power or contract. It's take it or leave it. We do get free health insurance.

I am a certified Ohio school nurse with a BSN. My district hires only certified school nurses with a BSN. We are on the teachers salary with all the benefits. After 20years, I make close to 53,000 per year for 184 days.

In Alabama School NUrses make about $10.00-$13.00 an hour for LPN and RN County Nurses about $22.00-$28.00 an hour. I am a LPN and did some summer contract work with the school for $22.00. We also get school boards benifit package.
