when i have the moments where i get grossed out by my job... i take a moment to think of the custodian that has to clean up the aftermath of the gross kid in my office.

Isn't that the truth. Lucky for me, none of them threw up in my office. But they come in with their vomity clothes, book bags, shoes, and breathe their vomity breath and i just wanna gag :clown: i had one yesterday who threw up on the bus coming to school .He was carrying a box of cupcakes in a bag and having nothing else to vomit in, he hit the bag. His teacher actually brought me the bag and asked what to do withe the cupcakes. :uhoh3: I told him he was welcome to eat them

There was a letter to the editor on the web today about a child being left alone in the health office vomiting. The health aide was split between 2 schools and was not there at the time.

No nurse in our schools? | Letters

I was quite surprised the a child would be left in an unattended health office. I had assumed that if there was no one staffing it it would be locked. What is your school's policy?

I lock my office behind me each and every time i leave. Granted, i;m in a busy middle school. When i was in the tiny kindergarten only school i rarely locked my door.
