Wanna know how I know that? I had a child come in my office at the end of recess, complaining that she didn't have any energy. I asked her why she waited until the end of recess to come and see me. She said she didn't know. I informed her that if she is not feeling well during recess, she needs to come down and see me, because now she is wasting class time.

No fever, no nausea, no vomiting, no headache, no stomach ache, no cold, no nasal congestion. Able to play with the hula hoops and the scooters.

5 minutes rest.... back to class.

I always wish I could document my treatment for that sort of child as "therapeutic boredom." 5 minutes sitting (not laying down) in a quiet clinic without a book to read or pages to color or friends to chat with -- they're ready to be back in class!
