Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.

C'mon now!

Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.

C'mon now!

The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.

All together: C'mon now!!

Some things just make me shake my head.

Just had a student sent down to my clinic with hiccups by a sub teacher..... WE ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL PEOPLE... THIS IS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE.. WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO PUT ICE ON IT??? C'MON Water bottle and BTC...

I agree on all 3. In my LTC facility, yeah, people often cough without covering their mouths at all.

It's been warm exactly 24 hrs and the first backless midriff shirt is already worn to school. You've been in this district for 8 grades already and the policy is still the same. C'MON!

I have a student who hurt his leg in PE. He was limping in the clinic, but not as he walked back to class. He then went back to class and told the teacher I wasn't a "real nurse" because his leg still hurt, and all I can do is give him an ice pack. C'mon now!

Teacher brings student who hasn't been feeling well ALL DAY to the nurses office at 2:15 - kid has a fever, mom can't get here for at least an hour -school is out and here I sit, waiting- C'MON NOW!!!!!!!

Or a spoon of sugar dissolved under the tongue.

Girl comes with tummy ache, no fever. Try potty, nope. Try snack, nope. Try tums, nope. All those did was make it "hurt a little more every minute." Let her rest. After an hour tell her it's time to try going back to class. One hour later she's back. Tummy still hurts, still no fever. Call mom, she'll come get her. Five minutes later, "Um, nurse? I think I could try to eat something now." Scarfs down almost all of her lunch. Then wants to color while waiting.

C'mon now! Duped again!

I had a kid mysteriously come down with "fleas" during his math test today.

C'mon now!

Little boy tried Three times to get me to send him home for the dreaded lice today! :sarcastic: All because I sent one LD from his class home he just knew they jumped off her and on him when she walked past him. C'mon!

HS Kid comes into my office with no pass.

HS Kid: "Teacher sent me to get cough drops for her."

C'mon now!

Kid: I'm nauseous and have chest pain since 3 this morning, but I didn't tell my mom because I didn't want to wake her up but then I texted her when I got to school. And she told me to come to you. And then she said she would pick me up.

Me to Mom: Your kid is here, the chest pain is actually stomach pain. No vomiting, no fever, good coloring, no immediate distress. I don't think she needs to go home unless you really want her too.

Mom: Well, I'll just pick her up anyway, since she's usually good about not calling from school.

If you didn't want to be in school, just tell mom before you get on the bus, c'mon now!

OK,OK, I have another.

If you wake up with pain (headache, injury, etc.) take medication before you get to school! Common sense people!
