RI Pharmacy Tech training?

  1. 0 Hello all!
I am currently applying for the Nursing Program at CCRI, but for now I wanted to find a job as a Pharmacy Tech. I want to become familiar with the hospital pharmacy, medications and procedures. Does any one know of a training program in this state, besides CCRI? Are there any facilites that will accept applications without a certificate? Thank you so much!

You can be hired by a pharmacy like CVS or Rite Aid and they will train you. I believe you start off as a pharmacy sales associate while you're training for the tech position. I would call to see if they are hiring. You can also go to Lincoln Tech or Sanford Brown but it will probably cost an arm and a leg:

I would recommend becoming a CNA in preparation for nursing school. I think this will help you a great deal more than the pharm tech program.
