@ MiniDachshund,

Thank you!!! I'll probably see you around campus. I'm hoping to do very well in both classes, I kind of want to get to the clinical portion of the program. Good luck to you this semester!

Thanks again... I got my acceptance letter for spring and I'm so excited! :w00t: I've worked hard to get into the program so it feels good to know that I'm in. I feel like I can actually focus on the next part now. - and try to find books that aren't too expensive.

I know you aren't supposed to mention professor names, but I'm hoping that mine are good... according to rate my professor, both ladies have so-so ratings. Some hate them and say favorites are chosen, some love them. Are the first two nursing courses difficult?

Congratulations!!! I just took the first two courses last semester and they weren't bad. Just make sure you do all the reading in 222, a lot of the exam questions are only covered in the textbook. I don't know who you have for 220, but in my section basically everything came from the powerpoints and in class handouts, so make sure to pay extra attention to those! Good luck

Does anyone have any tips for surviving Chem 105? I am super nervous! Thx, and sorry in advance if this isnt the correct thread to post this question. Im still getting the hang of all this :)

Chem 105 and 106 were difficult for me. I worked very hard for my grades in those classes (which were high B's). I am just not a chemistry person... The only tips I could offer you from my own experience is to get extra help if you need it!! Get the extra help in a timely manner also (as in not a week before the exam). Of course...do all the readings you are assigned and really try to understand the lab activities, rather than just sitting back and letting the group do them. Its much easier for yourself on tests to understand the material rather than just trying to memorize notes. Good luck! :)

Thank you so much! I am going to plug through just like I did A+P, and Micro! Just have to get my head in the game again!

I am also in need of a good advisor at RIC as I am looking to apply for Sept. If you guys have any fav's, please let me know.

Best of luck with the new semester!

Thanks for the luck! :). And as for nursing advisors... You will be assigned an advisor. It goes by last name. You cannot pick one. You get a nursing advisor even if your not I'm the program yet. I believe you have to go to records and change your major to intended nursing. Your advisor has to review and sign your application before it can be submitted anyway.

Has anyone here taken statistics course math 240?

I got a letter that said that I should call the dept of nursing and meet to do my plan of study..Is this a good sign of me getting in or can I still be declined?

Hello, was wondering if anyone could give me honest advice. I am a single father with a BFA interested in applying for Fall 2011 as a 2nd Bachelor's student. I only have to take 3 pre-reqs to be able to apply to the nursing program. I am a little concerned because I work 35 hours a week and also take care of my daughter. She will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall so I figured it would be a great time to go back to school. Is this doable? I mean, I believe I can do it but would love to hear experiences and any advice anybody could give me. Thank you!

Maybe we have/had the same prof for 220... I know you can't mention names, but she's from England lol... I'm so nervous for her exam and there is so much material. My prof for 222 is newer to the school I think and doesn't seem to be very effective. That exam is Wednesday, so I'll hope for the best...

I work full time and attend RIC full time as well. This is my first semester in the nursing program and I already see how little time I have. I take four classes and with that and work it is pretty tight. I don't have children (just a needy puppy!) lol.. but I think it is doable if you want to get it done. Would you be attending full time or part time? I started with my pre-reqs last spring and finished up as of last fall.

Good luck to you!

What is better to take first, Chem 106 or Physiology. Not sure I want to take them in the same semester.
