New RN staring at RIH

U.S.A. Rhode Island

Hi guys!

I just accepted a new job at RIH in the ISCU! I was just hoping for some advise before I start and any tips you might have for me! I have worked in detox/psych and a nursing home...so I'm out of practice on some skills and would love to know which ones are the most important to brush up on. Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope to hear back soon!

Hi! Congrats on getting a position in critical care at RI Hospital! I don't have any information for you, but was hoping you might have information for me. I have been applying to RIH since I graduated and passed my boards in May 2015. RIH is my absolute 1ST PICK as a new graduate nurse! FINALLY, I got a call from them today!!! I'll be interviewing for 20 hour per week on 6A/6Bmain unit (neuro). My goal is to become an ICU nurse. How did you get in here? Anything you can give me for advice would be much appreciated!!! It's basically a dream of mine to work at RIH! I have 1 year experience on Tele/step down at VA in Providence as a paid internship/preceptorship, so I'm hoping this experience is good enough. PLEASE HELP!!!
