Register Today!- by ddzwalker Sep 4, '06Hi-
Just passed NCLEX PN. I am looking for an LPN to RN program in RI.
Does anyone know of one? I know CCRI has a long waiting list....

I looked into this myself 2 yrs. ago and here's what I found out by calling ALL the schools; RI College and URI are for Bachelor programs they want you to take your nursing courses over so you would have to do bed making 101 again, however, they will accept your science courses with a grade of C or better. They will not accept any nursing courses from another school. St. Joseph's School of Nursing, a diploma RN program said the same thing. CCRI would be the quickest because it's ASN but you have to take a nursing challenge test.
All RI schools want your A & P to be no more than 10 yrs. old but I've heard that has changed to no more than 5 yrs.
I also checked with schools on the MA and CT border...all said the same as RI schools. I kind of feel like I messed up by not going straight through for the RN but everything happens for a reason.
Good Luck and let me know if you find anything different.
