CCRI Spring (Jan) start.. a few questions

This is my first post to this site :) Everytime I would Google a question, this site would come up, so I figured I should join and maybe pick some of your brains. :redpinkhe

I've been researching different nursing programs because I'm leaving my career of 11 years to finally fulfill a dream that I've had for a long time. I'm currently finishing up the pre-reqs (I'm taking Anatomy/Phys, Dosage, Health Careers this summer and Micro in the fall).

My question is, I will not have my Micro grade until the end of the fall semester. I know that I need all of my pre-reqs completed to apply. Will I still be able to apply for the spring start at CCRI? I've seen a few posts about an "open application session" in the beginning of January. What are the odds of getting in that late?

I'm afraid that I'm killing myself trying to take all of these classes this summer when BCC (for example) does not require the Dosage or Health Careers class. I could just concentrate on the BIOs this summer/fall and hopefully get into BCC, Massasoit or Brockton Hospital next fall (2011). I've been going back and forth. I'd hate to take on too much and effect my GPA. Decisions, decisions...

So, after my rambling... does anyone know about the January "open application session" for the Spring start at CCRI?

Thank you so much!!!

maybe there will be a open enrollment for a week in January like they did this past year!

Beanie, a couple of my friends at CCRI have been in the same situation as you over the past few semesters (I haven't even applied yet *sigh* still working on my prerequisites). My one friend just reapplied over the next few application periods and was accepted I believe the second time she did that. Some application periods are more competitive. But my other friend decided to retake the courses she didn't do so hot in, and brough her GPA up and then was accepted. Either way I wish you luck! :-D

The best time apply is February

Hi!

So have you heard anything about them opening up seats in Jan for the Jan start? There are still seats left unregistered and i am wondering if there is any chance?

when you get in there- if there are open seats, let them know there are ppl who would kill to be there!!! :)

best of luck and have fun!!

I just applied for the Lincoln 2011 Night Nursing Program. Does anyone know how long the wait is before someone gets back to you. The application period is between February 1- February 28.

I applied for Lincoln Fall 2011 evening program! I submitted my application Feb 1st at 8 am!!! im so nervous to hear back! My friend who is currently in the nursing program (shes in nursing 1 for the lincoln spring semester of this year) said it took them a month and a half before they emailed people to let them know!!

Good Luck everyone stay positive!!
