CCRI Nursing program Acceptance

U.S.A. Rhode Island

So I know things have recently changed regarding admissions so I may not get much help with this. I was curious to know from people that have been accepted what their point score was or just how their grades were. Are people getting in with only straight A's or are the still accepted with a B or two. After this summer I will be applying and just wanted to get an idea of where I will stand.

When I went to the information session the woman wasn't really that helpful and wouldn't really answer the question. She told us they usually accept people with around 140 points. I have all A's at the moment except a B- in one of the BIO's. When I asked if they recommended I retake the class she told me no, but if when you do the math a B- drops me 20 points, my GPA drops below a 3.95 so I lose another 10 points and then I have a score of 130. This doesn't leave much leeway for my TEAS test and is already below the score she says they like to accept.

Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I got into the night program with 131... there are less seats available for the night/weekend program so I have heard that it is more competetive so you should be fine!

I got in with 130 points for warwick day program. I took physio in the summer with a really bad teach lol and got a B-. I was told not to retake it. Everything else i had A's and one A-. I heard February is the best (least competitive) application period because of all the seats. On the FB nursing group, i have seen people posting that they knew people in the "90's" who got accepted. Night program is much more competitive tho like already mentioned. I know the application periods are all different too. Some are for "empty seats" and others are "open seating". If you apply for a period with just leftover seats don't get discouraged if you don't get in. GL!!

i got into the warwick day campus with about 100 points!! a couple a's but mostly b's and one b- !! good luck and redsoxgrl is right, do not get discouraged if you do not get in if you apply to a night nursing or during the off season application periods! i applied to the evening nursing at the lincoln campus last february and there were 48 seats total, sadly i did not get in and then i applied to the same campus when seats opened in august and again didnt get accepted. i kept applying to this campus because it worked with my work schedule. then this past february i applied to the warwick day campus and recieved a letter of acceptance with just making 100 points!

Hey everyone! I got into prov campus for fall 2012 but I'm not sure how to look up my points. I would like to know for the heck of it...anyone help?

I got in with about 120 points. My TEAS test scores were all in the 90's and my GPA was a 3.5. I also just graduated with honors with a general studies aa degree from ccri that I completed while doing my nursing pre reqs, I was told that they also consider things such as course load and grades from other classes, not sure if that is true or not.

I think it's ludicrous to retake a class to bring a B- to an A. especially a science class. Waste of time and money. I got into fall nursing with a 3.4 GPA, and an average TEASE score. I know people who got in with less then I.

Do your best, complete your pre-reqs, and submit your application. Don't get caught up in all the rumors of how only 4.0's get in, that's BS.
