Ccri Nursing acceptance fall 2013

U.S.A. Rhode Island

Published

So i went to Crri on Feb 1 at around 9:00am to summit my application for the fall semester, this will be my second time, hopefully i get in!!! How many times did you applied before getting in?

I'm so worried about the whole thing.

1.) Some grades are entered on others with degree evaluation done.

2.) Some have no grades, but still continuing degree evaluations.

3.) Some grades entered wrong, and still running evaluations.

4.) Some with no evaluations ran.

They say it has nothing to do with this application period, but why can we still see it being done!?!?

Ok. Just a quick update.

I had 3 degree evaluations done today. However, there is not change to the information on the application status page. They still have not added the TEAS scores and a MATH accuplacer score.

This is really consuming most of the charge on my iphone battery J Just wondering why the need to have SO MANY evaluations done.

I know, I don't understand it either... my degree evaluation has been done 10 times total - I wonder why they check it so often especially since it doesn't change!?! I also don't have my TEAS scores filled in or english and math accuplacer scores.

I'm becoming way too obsessed with checking everything... lol. Only a week and a half until the end of the month and hopefully we will find out!!

Don't hold your breath :) From last year's posts... they kept saying "the end of March" and the emails were sent in mid April! Hopefully it won't be the case again.

I would feel better, if my grades where entered. I only have degree evaluations done. My application still reads, 'completed ready for review'. Anxiety!

Ok ..... one more degree evaluation today at 6:01 pm. Somebody is working late :)

Mine was done also at 5:56 pm. I think it's a computer doing it...only because we all applied to different campuses.

Hi Everyone,

I have an update for you all. Quite an emotional stressful day! I got an response from the person in the nursing dept I emailed yesterday. She said:

"According to the analysis you have not taken the Reading portion of the TEAS test. There is no documentation on the analysis

I have referred your e-mail to XXX (removed name due to TOS) - enrollment person at Flanagan"

Well.. understandably... I flipped my S***! I was at work (I do allergy testing) and was testing an 8yo. It was all I could do to hold it together until the end of the test and not break down! I emailed her back, including the enrollment person stating my confusion. All of my degree evals said met EXCEPT for one pulled last night, 6ish, which said not met, had no TEAS reading and missing one of my pshyc classes too. Why would there be at least 10 saying met and one random one missing items?!?!?

I called that enrollment person, and to my delight/surprise... She answered (no one ever called me back yesterday). I told her my name and she said "I am emailing you right now" She went on to explain that the applications that we have be viewing are NOT accurate. They are trying to set up a new system where students can apply on line in the future and that this has only caused endless, unnecessary worry for everyone. She has gotten MANY calls from students in panic. She went on to explain the everything will be based off of our degree evals and that she can see that I have nothing missing and "please don't worry"... Sure easy for her to say, right?!?! She also sent the email to the person in nursing I had originally emailed to let her know I have nothing missing. I have checked all my evals that have been pulled since I talked to her at about 10:30 this morning, and no more "not met" have been there, PHEW!

Sorry to be so long winded, but I hope this will help everyone and ease some fears, even if only a little. So, I guess we should all try not to stress about what is or is not listed on those applications. It's just a waiting game from here. I try and tell myself that the stress I am causing myself will not change the outcome one way or the other. Still hard not to stress though!

"just keep swimming!!" (my little mantra, stolen from Finding Nemo, that sometimes gets me through)

WOW !!! Thank you for the information! Please... refrain from checking your status while working lol. I should probably follow that advice as well! Glad you got everything "fixed" with admissions.

HA! I usually don't check while at work, but I have my CCRI email sent to my personal email and that's when I saw the message. Although, if I didn't see it this morning, I'd be in a state of panic right now not being able to reach anyone until tomorrow. There would be NO sleep for me tonight, and I already suffer from horrible insomnia as it is!

I'm glad I got everything fixed too, and hope the info I found out helps others on here too! :)

Wow! Glad it all worked out for you.

Thank you for the information. I'll still be going crazy until I hear and always keep on swimming. :-D
