I have know idea if I want to do nursing
I meet people that are so passionate about it
Don't know if I would be good at it
I dream about other things
Maybe I'll get some revelation after this semester

Well you should try it first crazensweet. At least try nursing 1 and 2 to see how it is. I dont know If I will like it either, but even if If I dont, It sure pays better than my 10 dollars an hour. Now that I think of it, i don't think I've ever liked any job I had. The only time I liked my jobs was when I talked to friends on the job.

Have you ever taken the type of test that tests your intersts?
We all dream of other things maybe raising kids or being a rock star.
It seems to me that you would be a good nurse because Ive read some of your other
posts and you seem to have a carring spirit that makes a good nurse.
If you question if it is something you will like you can always shadow a nurse or become a CNA or Home health aid. That is a good way to get your feet wet. I was one since 1989. I loved it. But its not for everyone.
Also does Kent hospital have that program that if you are a employee for them you get bumped to the head of the line to get into nursing school. I know they worked with CCRI to do the snap program but I dont think that program did so well. Did it do well? Did they have a good class graduate?

Thanks both of you!!
I have shadowed the Nursing V class about 4x this past spring at kent, It was nice. Just about once a month I bug the advisors at the lincoln campus, and I leave feeling more confused. I went and took that test it wasnt really specific just said "helping people".
You make a mistake and you could kill someone or hurt them seriously, I know your trained that may never happen but still......
I do this I freak myself out ALL THE TIME. In Anatomy by midterm my grade was an A I was still nervous.
In Micro I was doing great and just got up look around and thought "Do I want to do this?" and didnt go back.
I'm taking a business leadership course this semester on a whim, why? I have no idea.
I envy people that are passionate about something.
Then their are those that have natural gifts and abilities.
I'm tired of shifting with the wind.
I want to stand still somewhere for something.
I know I'm probably not making any sense lol see just confused

Well then It sounds like you have your ducks in a row since you shadowed someone...you know I had those moments of walking out of class and never coming back in fact I did that the first time I took Anatomy. She was an awful instructor. I walked out of her class and took a W for the class. It took me a year to get up the courage and take it again. Nursing to me is one of the coolist careers you can go into. If you dont like one thing you can go into a completely diffrent direction. I love working in the hospital but if that doesnt work out you can go into forensic science like CSI there is so many things you can do. I love home care to. You will learn in nursing school how to be safe and that will stick with you forever. you can go into politics at a nurse and stand for other nurses. You can even be a part of the Board of Nursing for your state and help make the practice acts. There are so many directions in nursing.
Good luck with your choice.
I think you should go into nursing.
