Re-Entry LVN/Where Do I Look for Work?

by MayBoo

Hi Everyone,

I am a re entry LVN. I have been out of nursing for nearly 23 years.

I sure could use some in-put on where to start to look for a job in California. I looked on the net, newspapers, and anywhere I can think of to find work and it does not look promiseing. I am so worried.

I went though quite a bit to re-activeate my license. I had to sit for the NCLEX again. I am certified for IV and blood draws and have my BLS. I am ready to work and want to so bad.

Where do I start, any ideas?

Thanks

LTC always needs nurses LVNs and RNs, it may not be the area, you would desire, but rack up some current experience, you will be needed, I bet there is an opening at most any LTC facility, there is in Texas anyways..
best of luck, and welcome back, WE NEED YOU !!!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement!!!!Unfortunately due to personal family problems I will be starting to look next week. also do you think it would be worthwhile to become IV Certified to be more marketable? I look forward to your input.
