Re: A big smiling greeting ...

Hi everyone, I just discovered this site too... led here by someone I met on a doll collecting forum.
I am a former nurse, hurt my back a while ago so now out of the profession which was part of my life for 30 years.
I look forward to hearing from those of you starting out and wonder if there are any retired nurses out there.
To tell you a little about myself, I am a hospital trained general nurse with a post general training degree. I have worked across many aspects of acute and long term care including operating theatres, and aged care. I have also worked in occupational health and safety and remote area nursing.
It was quite a major readjustment... still is infact,
I live in coastal Tasmania....we call people like me "seachangers" here in Australia, with my little, naughty lakeland terrier.
Time for breakfast here in Tassie.
catch you all later.

WELCOME to allnurses, Princenina!
You will find lots to entertain you here and will meet some wonderful people.
Head on over to the Australian nurses forum also. Plenty of advice sought there from newbies and others. Always need the input of experienced nurses like yourself.
Enjoy your retirement!
Cheers..........
