I've been encouraged with the advice found on this forum, and would like to get
feedback on my situation.
I started my nursing education / career later in life (39), after becoming a widow.
My children were still at home, and I was able to balance my time at home and
the family practice clinic (in which I took my first job of 4.5 years) until my
youngest started to show signs of really needing me at home.
I've been out of the workforce for about 5 years. The children are on their
own now, and I would love to get back into the office setting. The places I've
submitted applications at seem reluctant, and I'm guessing it's because I've been
out for awhile. My license is valid and I'm wondering if a refresher course is in order...
or would volunteer nursing be all that is necessary to put me in the flow of office
employment.
Thank you for any advice.
