I participate in pediatric HIV clinical research. I would like to try and help you, but I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. You might be interested to know that the National Institutes of Health has been conducting a study for several years, known as the "Long Term Outcome" study of pediatric HIV-infected and HIV-exposed children. The study follows them from birth until age 24. You might do some looking around on the internet for published articles from this study, also known as PACTG 219C. The study looks at maternal history, medications, birth history, pt. meds, quality of life, neuropsychological issues, etc. Massive amounts of data have been published from this study and its predecessor, PACTG 219. You should be able to get some ideas. I am surprised you are not aware of the study, because it is being conducted all over the world.

actually am not aware of this study , and am in the initial stage of writting the proposal , and surely that is some of the information that i need to know , follow up for up to 24 yrs is rather difficult in a resource limited place but i had early thought of may be follow up of 6-10 yrs , let me know more about the study i have not heard here in kenya anyone mention about it , will get back to you soon
